In the year ending July 1, 2023, Florida experienced a remarkable population surge of 365,205, indicating a growth rate of 1.6%. This growth rate was surpassed only by South Carolina when considering percentages, as revealed by the latest Census estimates.

Notably, Florida's population has now exceeded that of New York by an impressive 3 million, and this disparity continued to expand throughout 2023, as per the recently released Census estimates. Although Texas led in numeric growth, adding 473,453 residents during the same period, the findings emphasize Florida's enduring appeal as a preferred destination for new residents, molding its demographic landscape in comparison to other densely populated states.
